SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside will host the inaugural Best of the Eastside awards next week.
The awards recognize best practices in business development on the city’s East Side.
NBTY Manufacturing won the best job creation award. The vitamin and nutritional supplement manufacturer invested $6 million for renovations to the property at 4266 Dividend Drive, and created 45 jobs with the possibility 100 jobs when the facility reaches full capacity, according to a news release.
My Place Barber and Beauty Salon won the best business transformation award for renovations done to a building at 611 N. New Braunfels Ave.
Lambermont Events was named best business role model and the University of the Incarnate Word’s Bowden Eye Care and Health Center won the best community partner award. Straight Line Management, a business management services firm, was named best emerging business.
